MOTHERS

I wanted to write something special for my wife on this Mother’s Day so I started thinking about what I could write that has not already been said. As usual I turn to God for answers and I thought of this. When God decided to send a son to this earth to save us, He could have just sent Him as a 30-year-old and let Him start preaching but no, God knew that Jesus needed a Mother. Someone to show Him what being human is. Someone to show Him unconditional love. Someone to be there when He went through the trials of life. To always say the things, He needed to hear at just the right time. To understand when no one else did. To wipe His tears, bandage His cuts and build His self-confidence. Someone to worry constantly about Him and pray constantly for Him. Someone that would gladly trad places with Him when He was being arrested, beaten, and hanging on that cross. Feeling every nail that went into His body and the torture of knowing that there was nothing she could do to help Him. If the God Almighty thinks that a Mother is that important, how could we not feel the same way? The next time you think about your Mom don’t think about what you know about her rather try to think about what you don’t know. The nights she cried all night long because she thought she hurt your feelings. Like when every time you would leave, she worried about you being ok. The times she came to your defense that you didn’t know about. All the times she would call and you thought she didn’t trust you but what really happened is she heard the sound of an ambulance and her first thought was if you were ok. There is no amount of money or possessions that could replace the value of a Mom. I want to say thank you to all you Moms that make us who we are. You are so special! Here is to all the things we see you do and all the things we don’t. Happy Mother’s Day!
