  Tattoos on the Mind Tattoos are very popular today. 36% of Americans between the age of 18 and 29 have at least one tattoo. Of the ones that get them 17% regret having them.   It does not have the same association as it did when I was a kid. Tattoos were looked at as a bad thing that could only be found on people that had traveled to various parts of the world where it was more main stream. It was assumed that only bad men had them and women having them was unheard of. Today it is an art form covering every topic. For some people tattoos cover most of their body. Why people put certain tattoos on their body usually has to do with what they have passion for. Norman Vincent Peale of the Power of Positive Thinking fame told a story about the time he went to Hong Kong China. As he walked the streets there, he came across a tattoo parlor.
