  As I Went Toward The Light As I went toward the light, I could tell I was moving but not walking like I used to. I went through a gate of the most magnificent peal I had ever seen. All of a sudden, I could feel arms being put around me and a hug of all hugs was taking place. I didn’t have to look I just knew it was my Mom. Then Dad and my Sister joined in. What a celebration of hugs we had. Then I could feel others moving in to be with us. My Grandparents, Uncles and Aunts. Friends and people that had been a big part of my life were there also like the husband and wife that would take me and other children to church on a school bus every Sunday. The neighbor from up the street that taught me how to play baseball. Even the old lady across the street from where I grew up that I use to go visit and have wonderful conversations with. You have refused to acknowledge His existence. You may figure that if you never speak of it does not exist. Well, He does exist and it’s time for you to acknowledge that. We live in the last days and you will need God more than ever. If you can’t see that something has changed in our country you are blind. Evil is celebrated and good is called bad. The bad will always try to make it seem like the good people are really the bad ones because bad people want to feel better about themselves. They will try to pull you in to their ways. You will need the Holy Spirit to discern what is the truth. Discernment is to be able to detect with senses other than vision. You can only get this Helper through believing in Christ.   Very Frustrating Times Even if you didn’t take into consideration the political, social or spiritual climate of the world today many are still very frustrated with their life in general. You may not be who you thought you would be. Maybe your family is not what you had imagined they would be. Your job is not what it once was so neither is your income. You worry about retirement and if you will have enough money to survive. That divorce you wanted so bad at the time was the worst thing that you ever did. A lot of the time it’s nobody’s fault but our own. You are just existing. So, now what? It’s time to be happy with you. Do whatever you have to do to make that happen. I don’t mean settle for what you have become. Be the better person you want to be. Start doing the things that will get you there. IT IS NOT GOING TO JUST HAPPEN! You have to make it happen. You may be saying God will rescue me. That’s not how He works. He has given you everything you need to be better but nothi...

 Tik Tok Time is flying by! You can’t stop it or slow it down. I get anxious just thinking about what little time I have left and the time I wasted on non-important things. We can stay numb and let the days go by one after another or we can wake up and live what time we have left with intention. Having learned from being around a while what is important, we can focus on those things. Things like time with family and friends. Things like how happiness is more important than money or status. A lot of us are carrying around junk from the past still. Let it go! Break free! It is so obvious how to do it. Change what you focus on all day every day. Refuse to slide backward and let those thoughts torture you anymore. What ever you did ask to be forgiven and move on. You paid your dues. If you can’t except that, remember Jesus paid all your dues and you are forgiven and free to move on. All you have to do is acknowledge Him and ask for forgiveness.   Are you a better person today than you were yesterday? I am not perfect nor will I ever be but I try to get just a little better each day. What does that look like? Well, it may be just making one small better decision today than you did yesterday. Like parking farther away from the store you are at so you have to walk more or choosing to eat the baked chicken instead of the fried. Maybe it’s taking time to read something that inspires you or teaches you something new. Maybe it’s getting on your knees for the first time in a long while or ever. For some of you deciding to smile and be kind to other people is a good idea. None of these are life changing in themselves but all done over a long period of time will be life changing. When you greet someone today and they ask how you are say “I’m Getting Better”. Write it on your bathroom mirror and say it to yourself every day.
