Time is flying by! You can’t stop it or slow it down. I get
anxious just thinking about what little time I have left and the time I wasted
on non-important things. We can stay numb and let the days go by one after
another or we can wake up and live what time we have left with intention. Having
learned from being around a while what is important, we can focus on those
things. Things like time with family and friends. Things like how happiness is
more important than money or status. A lot of us are carrying around junk from
the past still. Let it go! Break free! It is so obvious how to do it. Change
what you focus on all day every day. Refuse to slide backward and let those
thoughts torture you anymore. What ever you did ask to be forgiven and move on.
You paid your dues. If you can’t except that, remember Jesus paid all your dues
and you are forgiven and free to move on. All you have to do is acknowledge Him
and ask for forgiveness. You can live an amazing life but you have to take
control over your thoughts and behavior. Focus on positive things. Listen to
positive things like music or podcast. You will hear stories of how others
overcame their unhappy life. None of us know how many days we have left. Don’t
think while dying “I wish I had”!
I wish I had not screwed up my life.
I wish I had not screwed up my marriage.
I wish I had not screwed up my job.
I wish I had not taken those drugs.
I wish I would have realized what I had.
It’s not too late to overcome what is holding you back from
happiness. Take a few minutes and think about what you think about all day. To
break the pattern, you have to start with the mindset of “I’m going to get better”.
Getting better means you make small decisions every day to change behaviors. Some
examples are:
1.
Getting up earlier to read, pray or just think
about what you are thankful for.
2.
Spend some time outside in the nature in the sun
if possible.
3.
Leave yourself positive messages on your
bathroom mirror.
4.
Eating a salad instead of the burger.
5.
Getting out and hanging around positive people.
6.
Listen to uplifting music.
7.
Go for a walk around the block instead of
watching TV.
These are just a few to help get you moving
in a good direction. You will have to do a little planning. It’s not going to
happen if you keep doing what you have been doing! If you want to be happy do
what happy people do. Stop wasting time! There are others that need you to be
better so you can help them get better.
