Who are you today?
For the life of me I can’t understand why I can do so good
one day and the very next day be totally opposite of it. Then after thinking about,
it I realize that I have stopped doing the things that manifest good things in
my life. We have to feed our minds and our bodies with the right things!
I’ve heard the story
about the Cherokee Indian telling his grandson about the two wolves that live
in all of us. He said…
- There is a battle that always happens inside me and that
will also be inside you ... it's a great fight between two wolves:
One wolf represents: fear, anger, envy,
grief, repentance, greed,
the arrogance, guilt, resentment,
inferiority, lies,
false pride, superiority and ego.
The other wolf is
joy, peace, love,
hope, sharing, serenity,
humility, kindness, benevolence,
friendship, generosity, truth and faith.
After thinking for a moment, the grandson asked
- And which of the two wolves will win?
And the old Cherokee replied:
- The
wolf that you feed the most will win.
This is so true! If we stop for just a moment feeding the
good wolf the things like positive music, reading the Bible, praying and making
sure we do those other things like get sunshine, eating right and exercising,
the bad wolf starts to take over with lies. Lies that you need, feel and desire
things you don’t. The bad wolf always justifies in your mind what he does. This
is all lies! We have to work at feeding the good wolf because the bad wolf’s
food is everywhere. T.V., the internet, our phones are abundant with the bad
wolf’s food. There is food for the good wolf on these as well. You just have to
look for it. The battle is real. It’s every minute of every day.
To make the fight easier make sure the only food around you
is for the good wolf. Set up your house, car and workplace for feeding the good
wolf. This means have good music playing at all three places if you can. Also
monitor the type movies and TV you watch. Spend time reading good books and
especially the Bible. Pray every day for God’s help fighting the bad wolf.
