“Take a good, hard look at your life. Think it over. You have spent a lot of money, but you haven’t much to show for it. You keep filling your plates, but you never get filled up. You keep drinking and drinking and drinking, but you’re always thirsty. You put on layer after layer of clothes, but you can’t get warm. And the people who work for you, what are they getting out of it? Not much— a leaky, rusted-out bucket, that’s what.” 7 That’s why God -of-the-Angel-Armies said: “Take a good, hard look at your life. Think it over.” Haggai 1: 1*7 MSG

Non Believers Today I want to focus on the family members that are non believers. Be careful how you handle this situation. If you come on too strong you may push them further away from God. Be gentile with them and show the love of Christ to them. Let them see the light in you and the peace you have. One day they will come to a crossroads and need to lean on something greater than themselves for help and hope. God will be waiting with open arms. You should be too.

We have become too nice. We have become too nice today. We worry about people liking us too much. Sometimes we need to hear truth and not make it sugar coated. We are afraid to hurt someone's feelings so we don't say what needs to be said. I believe we do these things because we love others and don't want to create a wound or hurt feelings. I say if you love someone you need to be very honest and straight with them. Sometimes we need to do that with our self talk as well. You can build someone up without blowing smoke. The nicest thing we can do for another is be honest with them even if that honesty hurts a little. It will make them better in the long run. Jesus was not always nice but He was always good.

God put this on my heart. Are you lonely? This time of year can be very lonely for some people. Maybe you lost your spose or have no children coming to visit. Maybe you have been praying for this to change. Sometimes God sends us friends but sometimes He wants you to make a change in your life. Get out and meet people. If you cant get out do a facetime talk on your phone with an old friend. If you laterally have no one, go to a church to make new friend. Stop focusing on what is wrong or why you can't do something and start figuring out how you can. You have the power to change your life so do it. If you go to a church and don't like it try another and then another. There is a spot for you somewhere. You could volunteer for events or visit nursing homes hospitals or make a neighbor a cake and take it to them. Share your knowledge and experience with others. Remember that if you want a good friend you have to be a good friend. Someone is in the same boat you are in and is pra...

You did not come to this blog by mistake. There is a power working behind the scene in your life that brought you here. Our God works in this way. Always trying to draw you closer. Never giving up on you. Isn't it time you stopped trying so hard to not believe and listen to that voice in your head that tells you He is real. Then give yourself to Him and see the wonderful peace, forgiveness and healing that will come. It's been tugging at your heart. You know it's true. He loves you so much and has proven it with the sacrifice of Jesus. He did that for you. Give your life meaning and purpose. Try God.

Believe What You Will I know God has made me a better man. I know even a better me is still prone to sin. I can only imagine what the old me would be like today if God had not made me better. Are you happy with the version of you right now? If not I suggest you give God a try. You will never be perfect but you can be much better than you are now.

I have heard all my life that "The end is near" I often wondered why people would say such a thing because I know the Bible says "No man knows the day or time of Jesus return." What the Bible does say is what things will happen before Jesus return. If you look at what is going on in the world right now I have to say the end is closer than ever. And if it is close we should ask ourselves this question. Are we ready if Jesus came today? Will you be taken up or left behind? How sad it will be for those left here and their spouse, parents or children celebrating in heaven without them. ARE YOU READY?
